U-19 World Cup: India beat Pakistan to reach semi-finals

India defeated Pakistan by 58 runs in the most important match of the Super Sixes stage of the Under-19 World Cup.

In the match played in Bulawayo, Pakistan U-19 captain Farhan Yusuf won and invited India U-19 to bat.

In the first innings, India were bowled out for 252 runs at 50. Vedant Trivedi was the top scorer with 68 runs. Kanishek Chauhan played 35 runs, Suryavanshi played 30 runs. RS Amrish contributed with 29, Vihan Malhotra and Khulan Patel contributed with 21 and 21 respectively.

On behalf of Pakistan, Abdul Subhan dismissed 3 players and Muhammad Syam took 2 wickets. Apart from them, Ali Raza, Ahmed Hasen, Momin Qamar and Ali Hasan Baluch each took a wicket.

Chasing the target, the national under-19 team scored 194 runs in the 47th over. On behalf of Pakistan, Usman Khan scored 66 runs, Hamza Zahur scored 42 runs and captain Farhan Yusif scored 38 runs.

Ayush Mahatre and Khalan Patel were the standout bowlers for India with 3 and 3 wickets respectively.

It is worth remembering that with this victory, India entered the semi-finals of the U-19 World Cup.
