Pakistan Super League side Multan Sultans are likely to have Rameez Raja as their captain and Abdul Razzaq, Mushtaq Ahmed and Tawfiq Umar in the coaching staff.

According to sources, two or three other cricketers have been contacted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to inquire about their availability.

Sources reveal that Abdul Razzaq may be the head coach, Mushtaq Ahmed will be the assistant coach and Tawfiq Umar will be the batting coach.

With the final approval of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, the management of Multan Sultans will be given final shape.

Abdul Razzaq has taken charge of the power hitting coach at NCA. Tawfiq Umar was the batting coach of the women’s cricket team.

Former leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed also has experience working as a spin consultant with Multan Sultans.

It should be noted that the PCB management will look at all the affairs of Multan Sultans for one year in PSL 11, after which it will be auctioned.

Onar Ali Tareen bid farewell to Multan Sultans after not getting PSL renewal letter.

They criticized the PSL administration and also tore the copy of the legal notice.

The 11th edition of the PSL is scheduled to begin in March, with ten parties vying for two new teams.

The auction ceremony will be held on January 8 at the Jinnah Sports Complex in Islamabad.
