The government of Pakistan has given conditional permission to the national team to participate in the T20 World Cup 2026.

The result of the second meeting between Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi.

The government of Pakistan confirmed the participation of the team in the World Cup and announced that the match between Pakistan and India on February 15 will not be played.

In a statement published on the social media website, it was said that the government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan accepts the cricket team’s participation in the 2026 ICCT 2026 World Cup.

It was stated in the statement that the Pakistan team will not participate in the match planned against India.

It is worth mentioning that the Pakistan team, which is in Group A, will start its campaign in the T20 World Cup from February 7 against the Netherlands, and its second test is against the United States on February 10.

It was decided that the national team would play a match against India on February 15, but now, after the announcement of the government, the national team will not play this match.

In Group A, Pakistan team will play their last match against Namibia on February 18.
