Report: Soheyl Imran. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sent the names of the inaugural T20 World Cup squad to the International Cricket Council (ICC).
According to sources, the PCB has sent their names to the ICC as per the deadline for the initial names and the names of the reserve players along with the initial squad of 15 have also been sent to the ICC.
Sources said that the PCB can change the names without the permission of the ICC before January 31 and after that permission will be sought from the ICC Technical Committee for any change in the team.
According to sources, the PCB is planning to announce the squad for the World Cup and the series with Australia after the series against Sri Lanka as the board intends to see one or two players in the series against Sri Lanka.
Along with Sri Lanka tour players, Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf are among the starting names.
The ICCT Twenty World Cup is scheduled in India from February 7 and Sri Lanka and Pakistan teams will play all their matches in Sri Lanka.
