Report: Soheyl Imran. Namibian captain Gerhard Erasmus has slammed the ICC for giving India an unfair advantage in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Gerhard Erasmus held a press conference before today’s match against India and said that they were not given the opportunity for light training, we train during the day and the Indian team had two trainings at night.
He said, “I don’t know why we weren’t given a night practice before the match, but I think the Indian team had two night sessions and Canada was given a chance with them.”
Continuing his speech, the Namibian captain said that we want to adopt the Namibian style but we will come out strong and fight, there are no flood lights in Namibia, we don’t play night after night.
Gerhard Erasmus expressed his views that it is good to play under lights to adapt to the conditions, so it is a challenge for us in terms of infrastructure.
It should be noted that Canada played a night session with India. There is a Canada match on Friday and the Canada match is in the afternoon. One night was given for training. Namibia played the first match in the morning and the last two matches are in the afternoon.
It is worth mentioning that the important match between India and Namibia is being played today in the city of Delhi and both teams will be competing for valuable points in the group stage.
