The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the Player of the Month nominees for February in which Sahibzada Farhan, England’s Will Jacks and America’s Shadley van Schalkwick have been nominated.
Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan broke the record for most runs in the T20 Men’s World Cup 2026 with a brilliant batting performance in February.
He scored a total of 383 runs at a strike rate of 160.25 and an average of 76.60, eclipsing Virat Kohli’s 2014 record of 319 runs.
Sahibzada Farhan also scored two centuries, the first batsman to score two centuries in any edition, against Namibia and Sri Lanka. His impressive batting form helped Pakistan reach the Super 8 stage, though they missed out on reaching the semi-finals.
Will Jacks also showed his all-round ability for the England team. He scored 194 runs at a strike rate of 173.21 and took 11 wickets. He had key performances in the Super 8s against Sri Lanka and New Zealand, helping England to top Group 2.
Shadle van Schalkwick also played an important role in taking wickets for the US side. The right-arm fast bowler took 13 wickets and became the top wicket-taker of the tournament.
He took 4 wickets against hosts India in the tournament opener and also dismissed 4 players for 25 runs against Pakistan which included Saeem Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Shadab Khan and Feheem Ashraf.
