Report: Abdul Majid Bhatti. The auction for the bid to add the remaining two teams to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 will be held on January 8 at the Islamabad Convention Centre. The base price for new team offers is set at four million dollars and may increase.
Bidders must provide two hundred thousand dollars as a security deposit and those who fail will pay twenty thousand dollars as a fee and one hundred and eighty thousand dollars will be returned.
Official sources say that the PCB bidding committee will consider all technical issues. Qualified bidders will be invited to participate in the auction.
Sources close to Jang said that an owner who buys a franchise for ten years will not be able to sell it for the first three years, but after three years in 2029, he can give up the ownership rights at will.
According to the PCB’s tender document, all eight teams will receive three million dollars annually from the central pool for five years from 2026 to 2030, but the document does not mention the remaining five years.
Sources revealed that due to the dispute between Ali Tareen and the Pakistan Cricket Board, the owner of Multan Sultans has announced that he will say goodbye to the franchise and his contract ends on December 31.
There is a proposal under the supervision of the PCB that next year the affairs of Multan Sultan should be managed by the PCB itself, but the final decision should be taken by the PCB management.
Pakistan Super League has announced the window of the 11th edition. The PSL festival will be held from March 26 to May 3 next year in different cities. Indian League IPL will also start on the same date.
