Bangladesh’s response came on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s harsh statement about the T20 World Cup.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said yesterday that the decision not to play the match with India in the T20 World Cup was made deliberately and the reason for this was solidarity with Bangladesh.

Dr.

Asif Nazrul also mentioned Prime Minister Shehba Sharif in his statement.

It is worth mentioning that Prime Minister Shehba Sharif said in the meeting of the Council of Ministers on Wednesday that we will not play a match against India. Because politics should not be in the playground. We have taken this decision very carefully. We should stand by Bangladesh completely. I think this is a very reasonable decision.

Earlier, the government of Pakistan announced through a message on social networks on February 1 that the Pakistan team has been allowed to participate in the T20 World Cup, but the match against India on February 15 will not be played.

In this regard, ICC sources say that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not officially informed the council.

Yesterday, Indian media reports claimed that the ICC had tasked Vice President Imran Khawaja with back-to-back negotiations with Pakistan to resolve the issue.
