In the ICCT World Twenty20, Zimbabwe defeated Australia by 23 runs to win the tournament for the second time.

In today’s match being played in Colombo, Australia won and decided to bowl first, in reply Zimbabwe conceded 169 runs and lost 2 wickets.

Brian Benth, the opening batsman from Zimbabwe, remained unbeaten on 64 runs, hitting 7 fours off 56 balls, while skipper Sikandar Raza remained unbeaten on 25 runs.

For Australia, Marcus Stones and Cameron Green took a wicket each.

The Australian team struggled in pursuit of the target of 170 runs and were bowled out for just 146 runs in 19.3 overs.

For Zimbabwe, Mazarbani took 4 wickets, Bryde Evans took 3 wickets, Masakadza and Ryan got one wicket each.

It is worth mentioning that Zimbabwe, who is in Group B, defeated Oman by 8 wickets in their first match. In the event, the Zimbabwe team will play their next match on February 17 against Ireland and the last group match is against Sri Lanka on February 19.

On the other hand, the Australian team defeated Ireland by 67 runs in their first group match, but today there was a big upset and they had to lose to Zimbabwe by 23 runs.

In this event, the Australian team will play its next match against Sri Lanka on February 16 and the final group match will be played against Oman on February 20.
