In the Super Eights stage match of the ICCT Twenty20 World Cup, West Indies caused more trouble for India by defeating Zimbabwe by a huge margin of 107 runs.
In the match played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, West Indies scored 254 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs, the second highest total in T20 World Cup history.
Chasing the target, Zimbabwe were bowled out for 147 runs and thus the West Indies climbed to the top of the Group 1 points table with a 107 run win in the Super Eights.
In Group 1, all four teams have played one match and after winning this match by a wide margin, West Indies have a net score of 5.350 and 2 points, while South Africa are second with a net score of 3.800 after defeating India by 76 runs.
In the points table, the Indian team is in the third position with a score of 3.800 and Zimbabwe is in the fourth position.
India have yet to play against West Indies and Zimbabwe. To reach the semi-finals, India not only have to win the next two matches but also have to win by a big margin because if a team is equal on points, it will reach the knockout stage due to low run rate.
