T20 World Cup: South Africa beat New Zealand to advance to Super Eight

In the 24th edition of the 2026 International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup, South Africa defeated New Zealand by 7 wickets to reach the Super Eight.

In the match played in Ahmedabad, South Africa, he lost 3 wickets in the 18th over and scored 176 runs against New Zealand.

This is South Africa’s third consecutive win in the mega cricket tournament, they are top of their group with 6 points and have qualified for the Super Eight stage.

Adam Markram played an unbeaten 86 off 44 balls, while David Miller was out for 24 runs.

Earlier, New Zealand scored 175 runs for 7 wickets, Mark Chapman scored 48 runs and Daryl Mitchell scored 32 runs, while Marco Jensen made 4 runs for 40 runs.

Earlier in the tournament, the South African team defeated Canada by 57 runs, but Afghanistan lost in two super overs after a very interesting match.
