In the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2026, India’s batting continues against England with opener Samson scoring a half-century.
In the second semi-final to be played at the Wankhede Stadium, England won and invited India to bat first and Indian openers Sanju Samson took an aggressive approach.
England’s Will Jacks took young batsman Abhishek Sharma to task in the second over, Abhishek Sharma scored 9 runs off 7 balls and in the next over Jofra Archer had a great opportunity to dismiss Sanju Samson but skipper Harry Brooke dropped an easy catch.
Sanju Samson put on 97 runs for the second wicket with Ishan Kushan to take the score to 117 runs in the 10th over, but Kushan scored 39 runs over this and was dismissed by Adil Rashid.
Sanju Samson, after taking an easy chance, angered the England bowlers and completed his half-century in 26 balls.

Phil Jacques finished off Sanju Samson’s 89-run knock in the first wicket of the 14th over.
