T20 World Cup: Scotland beat Italy by 73 runs

In the 7th ICCT World Twenty20 match, Scotland won by 73 runs against Italy.

In the match played at Eden Garden, Italy won and invited Scotland to bat first, whereupon Scotland scored 207 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.

On behalf of Scotland, opening batsman George Munsey was the outstanding batsman who scored 84 runs in 54 balls thanks to 13 fours and 2 sixes.

Chasing a target of 208 runs, Italy were bowled out for 134 runs in 16.4 overs. Italian middle batsman Ben Mananti became the leading batsman with 52 runs off 31 balls which included 5 fours and 1 six.

For Scotland, Michael Leask dismissed 4 players while Mark Watt took 2 wickets, and Oliver took one wicket each, including Broad Cure, Broad Whale.

The next match in today’s mega event will be between Oman and Zimbabwe followed by Canada and South Africa.
