In the first match of the ICCT World Twenty20, the Pakistan team won and decided to play against the Netherlands first.
Ahead of the match in Sri Lanka, captain Salman Ali Agha, talking about the pitch and the team’s build-up, said that the pitch is new and there is moisture around, which will benefit it.
He said that this is the first time that Sri Lanka is seeing such a grassy pitch, so three fast bowlers and all-rounders are included in the team.
On the other hand, Dutch captain Scott Edwards said that if they had won the toss, they would have preferred to bowl first, but there was no objection to the batting.
“This match is very important for us, as are the other three matches,” he said.
Saeem Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan will open on behalf of the Pakistan team.
In this event, the Pakistan team will play their next match against the United States of America on February 10, while the national team has refused to play against India on February 15.
In today’s other matches, West Indies will face Scotland and India will face USA. All matches of the event will be telecast live on JioSuper and Mico digital app.
