T20 World Cup: Pakistan team won against Netherlands by 3 wickets

In the first match of ICCT World Twenty20, Pakistan won by 3 wickets against Netherlands.

Chasing a Dutch target of 148 runs, the Pakistan team suffered their first loss of Saeem Ayub when he bowled a high shot in the third over of the game, followed by Salman Ali Axa who scored 12 runs when he bowled a quick shot in the fifth over.

Sahibzada Farhan was dismissed for 47 runs on the first ball of the 12th over, while Usman Khan, the wicket-keeper batsman, was dismissed for a wicket in the third ball of the same over.

Former captain Babar Azam played 15 runs when he scored on the fourth ball of the 13th over and was caught near the boundary line, Muhammad Nawaz was the visitor for 6 runs and Shadab Khan could manage only 8 runs.

Faheem Ashraf played an attacking role in Pakistan’s win and won the man of the match award. He scored 29 runs and 11 balls in 3 sixes and 2 fours and Şahin Afrini also scored 5 runs.

It is worth noting that Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha won and decided to bowl first in Colombo, in reply the Dutch team was bowled out for 147 runs in 19.5 overs.

On behalf of Pakistan, Salman Mirza dismissed 3 players, Muhammad Nawaz, Abrar Ahmed and Sayem Ayyub took 2 wickets each and Shaheen Afrini took a wicket.

The Pakistan team, which is in Group A of this event, will play its next match against the United States of America on February 10, and the Pakistan government has banned the national team from playing against India on February 15.
