In the ICCT World Twenty20 Super Eight round, today Pakistani fans are looking forward to the important match between New Zealand and England which will be played in Colombia and with the results of that the national team hopes to reach the semi-finals.
The group situation has become so sensitive that if New Zealand lose to England in today’s match, the Kiwis’ points will be reduced by 3 points and pave the way for Pakistan to advance to the next round.
However, just defeating New Zealand is not enough for the green shirts. The national team needs to win their last match against Sri Lanka by a big margin to overtake New Zealand on points basis and lead the group table on the basis of better percentage.
On the other hand, if the match between England and New Zealand fails and both teams get a point, Pakistan’s hope for the semi-finals will die.
It is worth noting that the deciding match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super Eight stage will be played tomorrow at Pali Kele, where the national team needs not only a win but a big win.
The eyes of the cricket fans are now looking at both the matches and the semi-final match has entered the most interesting phase of the tournament.
