Report: Soheyl Imran. Bangladesh Cricket Team’s matches in India in ICCT World Twenty Cup are under uncertainty and the Bangladesh board is waiting for the reply of the email sent to ICC, but before that the Indian media has started propaganda.

The Indian Cricket website claims that the chances of Bangladesh matches being shifted from India to Sri Lanka are slim and the option of changing the venues of the Bangladesh matches has come up.

The Indian site said the ICC and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) are in a standoff battle, but Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram are the options for the Bangladesh matches.

According to the website, due to security concerns, BCB has officially requested the ICC to move all our matches to Sri Lanka.

The website claims that the ICC has certainly looked at alternative venues, but the possibility of the matches being shifted to Sri Lanka is unlikely as the Tamil Nadu and Kerala Cricket Associations have been approached by the ICC and BCCI.

According to the website, Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram could be possible venues for the Bangladesh matches, with the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association already hosting matches in the World Cup and not objecting to more matches.

In the ICCT World Twenty20, matches for Bangladesh are scheduled on February 7, 9 and 14 in Kolkata and on February 17 in Mumbai.

It is worth remembering that after the pressure of the Indian extremists, the Indian board received the order to expel the Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman from the IPL and in this context, after the threats, the Bangladesh Cricket Board announced that it will not send the team to India and BCB is still waiting for the ICC’s response.

On the other hand, the Pakistan Cricket Board has expressed its interest in hosting the matches of Bangladesh over the issue of the Bangladesh team not going to India for the ICCT World Twenty20.

PCB sources say that if there are no Sri Lanka slots, then Pakistan slots are available. If ICC Champions Trophy and Women’s Qualifiers are held in Pakistan, then these matches can be held easily. All our venues are ready to host T20 World Cup matches.
