Jacob Bethel, who scored a valuable 40 runs in the last innings while playing a crucial role in the win over Australia in the second leg of the Melbourne Test of Ashes series, now has his eye on the Sydney Test.
According to the Cricket website, young batsman Jacob Bethel expressed his determination to prove himself at number three, saying, “I like to play at number three, sometimes there are challenges with the new ball, but when the field is attacking, there are also many opportunities to bowl.”
“I can’t say it’s my permanent position yet, but I want to be able to play every role in the team,” he said.
It is worth mentioning that Australia have already won the Ashes series by winning the first three Tests, while England won the fourth Test match by 4 wickets. The fifth and final Test of the series will be played in Sydney from January 4.
