Report: Soheyl Imran. The Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) has buckled under pressure and asked film star Shahrukh Khan from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to release Bangladesh cricketer Mustafizur Rahman.
Indian Cricket Board Secretary Devajit Saikia has requested to release IPL 2026.
Devajit Saikia said that after recent developments from all sides, the BCCI has ordered the KKR franchise to release Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman.
According to Devajit Saikia, the Indian board has said that if they want a substitute player, they will be allowed.
It should be noted that Shah Rukh has come under severe criticism for adding a Bangladeshi cricketer to Kolkata Knight Riders, while a spiritual religious leader has also called Shah Rukh a traitor.
Mustafizur Rahman’s inclusion in IPL team KKR has sparked controversy in Maharashtra, politicians have also started criticizing Shah Rukh Khan.
It should be noted that in the auction held in December, KKR acquired Mustafizur Rahman for INR 9.2 crore. Actor Shahrukh Khan was declared anti-national because he joined Mustafizur Rehman’s team.
