On March 5, a private channel journalist had accused Salman Mirza of harassing a female employee at a hotel in Kandy during the T20 World Cup.
The journalist had claimed that the team management had conducted a preliminary investigation on the complaint of the hotel management and after that the player in question was also fined.
The PCB called this news a hoax and asked the journalist to apologize immediately.
