Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif was welcomed by the representatives of the companies that won the tender for two new teams of the Pakistan Super League.
According to the information, among the representatives are Hamze Majid from the company ‘OZ Developer’ who won the Sialkot team and Fawad Sarwar from the company ‘FKS’ who won the team from Hyderabad.
The Prime Minister congratulated the representatives of both teams and wished them success.
The Prime Minister congratulated Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and PCB management for the successful tender process.
The Prime Minister said that the bidding process for the new PSL teams was broadcast live, which was a testament to its openness.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the inclusion of two new teams will help in the development of grassroots cricket and the availability of new talent, these two new teams will prove to be a breath of fresh air for the PSL.
He said that he is very happy that international firms have come forward to bid for these two teams, this process has increased foreign investments in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister said that overseas Pakistanis have always played an important role in the development of the country.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the popularity of PSL at the international level can be estimated from the way domestic and international companies show interest in the bidding process for new PSL teams.
Federal Minister of Interior and Chairman of PCB Mohsin Naqvi and Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ataullah Tarar were also present in the meeting.
