Rashid Abba, coach of the English football club West Ham United Academy, spoke to Geo News.

Report: Arfa Firoz Zeki. Rashid Abba, the coach of the English football club West Ham United Academy expressed his concern about the lack of football and its infrastructure in Pakistan.

In a special conversation with Geo News, Rashid Abba said that I came to Pakistan for a ten-day football camp and in this camp I visited different cities, including Islamabad, and also met with the Pakistan Football Federation.

West Ham United Academy coach Rashid Abba said that I came to see talent in Pakistan, there is talent here, but there is a need to give opportunities and there is a need to learn more about football coaches in Pakistan, including modern football coaching.

Continuing his speech, Rashid Abba said that it is necessary to work on the skills of football coaches in Pakistan, football is a new game in Pakistan, there is talent but there is no coach.

He said that a boy in Pakistan starts playing football very late in his life, football is played in the villages of Pakistan, there is no football infrastructure.

The coach of West Ham United Academy said that other countries work on football coaching, but it is not like that in Pakistan and it is strange that the country that gives more than seven percent of football to the world does not play football itself.

Rashid Abba said that instead of following players who play in other countries, football players should be trained in Pakistan.

The coach of the English football club said that there will be development of football including school football, then football players will also be trained in Pakistan, there will be football talent in Pakistan, but there is no opportunity and no money here.

Rashid Abba said that in Pakistan the sport has a secondary status but it is not the same in other countries, there is a need to invest money in Pakistan football in which the private sector comes forward with the government.
