The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued new guidelines to PSL franchises regarding meeting the families and friends of the players.

According to reports, a few days ago it was reported that Shaheen Shah Afrini and Sikandar Raza from Qalandar Lahuri took several people to the hotel room without permission, the police accused them both of violating the security regulations.

In a letter from the Punjab Police to the Pakistan Cricket Board and the PSL chief, it was alleged that Shaheen Afridi and Sikandar Raza forcibly took unauthorized persons to the hotel room, strict measures should be taken to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.

In this regard, Sikander Raza stated that on my request, friends and family were taken to my room by Şahin, if it is SOOP that they were not allowed to meet in the rooms, then we did not know about it, the real fault is mine, not Şahin’s.

Lahore Qalandars fined captain Shaheen Afridi 1 million rupees for violating security protocols.

Now in another development in this regard, PCB has issued new guidelines to all franchises.

The email stated that this is a clarification of the policy regarding the arrival of family members and outside guests in team hotels.

Such meetings will be held in a designated area in the hotel, access to the team floor is strictly prohibited, members of the immediate family of players including spouses, parents, brothers, sisters and children will be allowed in the room, provided they are also notified at least 24 hours in advance.

The board official wrote at the end of the email that all participating teams are valued for their cooperation in complying with these regulations to maintain safe and operational systems.
