Security is on high alert in Lahore city as part of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 from today.
In this regard, DIG Operations Lahore Faisal Kamran says that due to the sensitive situation, fans have not been allowed to come to the stadium and a security fence has been placed around the stadium.
He said more than 6,000 officers and soldiers have been deployed to protect the players.
On the other hand, the spokesperson of Safe City revealed that with more than 950 modern cameras, there is continuous monitoring in the whole city.
A security system with facial recognition, artificial intelligence, and drones are used to monitor the stadium, player routes, hotels and airport surroundings, the spokesperson said.
It is worth mentioning that the eleventh round of Pakistan Super League (PSL) starts today from 19:00 and in the opening game of this competition the defending champions of the league Lahore Qalandars and the new team joining the league Hyderabad Kingsmen will face each other.
The first match will be at 18:30 and the game will start at 19:00. Spectators will not be allowed to enter the stadium, but cricket fans will be able to watch all the matches live on Pakistan’s first sports channel GeoSuper and Myco digital app.
