Pakistan Super League side Rawalpindi have added Mubaser Khan to the squad as a partial replacement for Naseem Shah.
According to the franchise management, Naseem Shah suffered a side injury in the match against Karachi Kings. The team doctors are keeping a close eye on his recovery and he is expected to return in the later stages of the tournament, but the final decision will be taken after the fitness is cleared.
As a precaution, Mubaser Khan was included in the team as a partial replacement for Naseem Shah, Mubaser Khan previously represented Islamabad United and scored 49 runs and took 2 wickets in 14 matches.
On the other hand, to strengthen the bowling, Rawalpindi has also included New Zealand fast bowler Ben Sears, who has been part of the team after injuries to Naseem Shah and Zaman Khan. Ben Sears has been added for Rs 2.5 crore and this will be his first match in PSL. He previously played for the Washington Freedom in Major League Cricket.
At international level, Ben Sears took 31 wickets in 27 T20 matches and 10 wickets in 4 ODI matches.
Meanwhile, Zaman Khan suffered a shoulder injury in the National T20 Cup, after which Jalat Khan joined the team in his place.
Under the captaincy of Muhammad Rizwan, Rawalpindi will play its next match on April 10 against Quetta Gladiators.
