Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has appointed Olympian Samiullah as Chief Selector.

According to PHF Ad Hoc Chairman Mohiuddin Wani, Samiullah’s appointment was recommended by PHF’s Professional Development Committee.

Mohiuddin Wani said that Pakistan is determined to take hockey to new heights and by appointing Samiullah as the captain, the national team will once again regain its lost glory.

The PHF says that Samiullah’s appointment is part of a broader strategy to revive and promote hockey in Pakistan.

According to the PHF statement, the federation has also prepared a comprehensive “Hockey Road Map” in which the calendar of domestic and international competitions is prepared.
