IPL team captain Sunrisers Hyderabad Pat Cummins has returned to Australia for the last follow-up.

Despite the fitness issues, he joined the IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad before the start of the season, while continuing the rehabilitation process.

According to reports, his scan has already been scheduled and he will be under the supervision of Cricket Australia, if he is declared fit, he will rejoin the team on April 17.

Cummins is the captain of Sunrisers and in his absence Ishan Kishan leads the way due to his absence from the match.

Pat Cummins has been out with a back injury since July last year, and has only managed to play one Ashes Test in that time.

He was hoping to participate in the T20 World Cup, but being completely unfit, he too was left out of the event.

Cummins had said before the IPL that he wanted to return in the second half of the tournament, aiming to bowl regularly in the nets.
