Pakistani pacer Muhammad Ali has signed a contract with county side Nottinghamshire for the final two months of the English domestic season.
Pakistani pacer Muhammad Ali has signed a multi-format short-term deal with county side Nottinghamshire for the final two months of the 2026 English domestic season.
Muhammad Ali, 33, will arrive in England in early August and will be eligible to represent Nottinghamshire in the Rothesay County Championship and Metrobank One Day Cup at the end of the season.
Muhammad Ali has taken more than 300 wickets in his career at an impressive average of 24.65, while representing Pakistan in all three formats. His last international match was an ODI against New Zealand in March last year.
Muhammad Ali expressed his happiness about this contract, “I am very happy to join Nottinghamshire.” I have always wanted to play county cricket and gain experience in English conditions, so I am very excited for this opportunity.
He added that Trent Bridge is one of the most famous grounds in the world, and he is looking forward to playing there and contributing to Nottinghamshire’s success.
Nottinghamshire assistant head coach Paul Franks said that Muhammad Ali’s personality and character influenced him a lot when he was coaching in Pakistan.
