Pakistan has qualified for the 2026 Hockey World Cup.

Pakistan won the semi-final of the Hockey World Cup.

Goalkeeper Ali Raza saved Pakistan’s penalty.

Pakistan qualified for the World Cup by defeating Japan in an exciting match in the ongoing Hockey World Cup qualifiers in Egypt.

4 minutes before the end of the match, Japan scored a penalty, goalkeeper Ali Raza stopped it and Pakistan went to the final and the team went to the World Cup.

Saffian Khan, Abu Mohammad, Mohammed Imad and Afraz scored for Pakistan. The World Cup will start from August 14 in Belgium and the Netherlands.

The Pakistan hockey team failed to qualify for the final World Cup, the national team finally qualified for the 2018 World Cup.

On the other hand, Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the national hockey team for entering the World Cup championship and stated that the players have won the tournament after 8 years by showing their good performance.

He also said that this victory is the result of team work and hard work of the players, this victory proves that there is hockey talent in Pakistan.

Muhsin Naqvi also said that the good performance of all the players, including captain Imad Shakil But, is great, hoping that the national team will return after winning the final.
