The captain of the Pakistan hockey team, Imad Butt, after returning to his country from Australia for the Pro League, spoke to the media at the airport and said that after landing at the Sydney airport, they walked like orphans for 13 hours.
Imad Butt said, all the news that came from Hobart are true, our players cook their breakfast, wash the dishes and the washing machine by themselves, so what can a player do on the field.
He said that it should never happen that a player eats three meals out of his daily allowance, Pakistan should bring educated and decent people in management to improve hockey and the team needs a foreign coach.
Captain Imad Butt emphasized that the team management lied to us, Pakistan’s prime minister and army chief should be aware of this matter.
On the other hand, the player of the hockey team, Mohammad Hanan, also stated that the promises made by the Pakistan Hockey Federation have not been fulfilled. When we got to the hotel in Australia, we found out that we didn’t have a reservation, and some of our players have been delayed since 2023.
DG Sports Pakistan said that a hotel was booked in Australia but the Hockey Federation canceled it. The Pakistan Hockey Federation is responsible, a full inquiry into the incident will be sent to the Prime Minister.
