New Zealand posted 575 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their first innings against West Indies on the second day of today’s match.

New Zealand won and decided to take the lead in the third Test between the two countries at Mt Mungoi.

New Zealand captain Tom Latham scored 137 runs off 246 balls with 15 fours and 1 six and his fellow opening batsman Dion Conway scored 227 runs off 367 balls which included 31 balls.

Kiwi batsman Richan Ravindra remained unbeaten on 72 runs, while former captain Ketch Williamson added 31 runs.

Jacob Duffy 17, Daryl Mitchell 11, wicketkeeper-batsman Tom Blundell 4, Glenn Phillips 29, Zac Flux 1 and Ijaz Patel 30 not out.

Jayden Seles, Anderson Phillips and Justin Grieve took 2 wickets each for West Indies, Kemar Roush and Roston Cheez took 1 wicket each.
