New Zealand openers achieved an unusual record in the history of Test cricket, for the first time in the history of Test cricket, both openers scored centuries in both the matches.

Tom Latham and Dion Conway of New Zealand set a record in the history of Test cricket.

In the second innings against West Indies, Tom Latham scored 101 runs while Dion Conway scored 100 runs. In the first innings, Tom Latham scored 137 runs and Dion Conway scored 227.

Dion Conway also became the first New Zealand batsman to score a double century and a century in a Test.

Dion Conway scored a century in the second innings of the third Test against the West Indies at Mount Maunganui after scoring 227 in the first innings.
