Lahore:
Former Pakistan Cricket team member Muhammad Yousuf termed the current situation as the darkest era in the history of cricket and demanded an end to political interference in cricket.
Muhammad Yusif said in his statement that seeing the current situation, the heart is crying tears of blood and it is necessary to remove incompetent people not only from their place, but also from the team. He said that unless political influence and personal interests are completely removed from the crisis, a strong team which was once the pride of Pakistan cannot be formed.
Earlier, Muhammad Yusuf criticized the Pakistan National Cricket team and said that the time of Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shadab Khan has passed and now the team needs new players. He emphasized that commitment to marginal wins against weak teams can no longer continue.
It is worth mentioning that in the important match played on Sunday, India defeated Pakistan by 61 runs and advanced to the next round.
