Speaking on the sidelines of a training session in Lahore, New Zealand’s Mark Chapman said, “I’ve been waiting to come here and play in the PSL and now I’m very happy to be playing again.”
Mark Chapman said that with the entry of two new teams in the Pakistan Super League, the competition is more than ever.
Mark Chapman believes that when you change a franchise, you get a different atmosphere anyway. Last year I had a good time with Quetta Gladiators, we played in the final and now hopefully I will have a good time with Islamabad United this time. Islamabad United also have Devon Conway from New Zealand. Shadab Khan is the chief. I have a good time with all of them.
He said the T20 World Cup is still two years away, before that he is focusing on next year’s ODI World Cup, which is in South Africa, after which I will think about Australia and New Zealand.
Mark Chapman said about Babar Azam that Babar Azam is an experienced player who has scored most runs and half centuries in PSL. I can’t tell him how to hit. He knows himself, but sometimes it’s a matter of thinking. Babar Azam’s technique is very good, he just needs to adjust to the game soon.
Mark Chapman said that Pakistan has done very well to host cricket so far. Our focus is on every game. Our next three matches are coming up soon. The effort is to win and win.
