In the 13th match of the eleventh Pakistan Super League (PSL), Multan Sultans defeated Quetta Gladiators by 6 wickets.
In the match played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Multan Sultans came out impressively and beat Quetta Gladiators by 6 wickets to get their third win in the match and topping the points table. Muhammad Nawaz was named player of the match for his outstanding performance in the tournament.
Chasing the 167-run target set by Quetta Gladiators, Steven Smith started, hitting a six and two fours in the first innings, scoring a half-century off just 29 balls and forming a 71-run opening partnership with Josh Phillipp that initially set the tone of the match.
Steven Smith of Multan Sultans scored 53 runs, Shaan Masood remained unbeaten on 46 runs, Shaan Masood stayed on his feet till the end while batting responsibly and reached his target with ease, Sultans scored 167 runs in 18 overs. Sahibzada Farhan 32 sessions.
Hasan Nawaz dismissed two players from Quetta Gladiators.
Earlier, Quetta Gladiators scored 166 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Captain Saud Shakeel scored 56 runs and Bevan Jacobs scored 49 runs.
When Multan Sultans won and Quetta Gladiators invited to bat, Gladiators did not start well and both the openers were out early in the first innings.

The Multan spinners kept up the pressure in the powerplay with some brilliant bowling, which saw the score 47 for 2 after 6 overs.
Saud Shakeel got a life after an easy life, which he took full advantage of. He took control of the innings by forming an important partnership of 55 runs with Hasan Navaz and was dismissed for 56 runs and 41 balls.
After this Multan Sultan’s Arafat Minhas slowed down the pace of the Gladiators as he bowled carefully and picked up one wicket after another.
In the last part of the innings, Bevan Jacobs put the team in a strong position by batting responsibly and Bevan Jacobs remained unbeaten with 49 off 31 balls.
