On his appointment as the head coach, Luke Ronkie said that Islamabad United has always been like home for him, it is an honor for him to return as the head coach, he is happy to work with the young players of the team.
According to the management of Islamabad United, the appointment of a former player as the head coach of the team is part of the policy of maintaining the continuity and recognition of the team.
Luke Ronnie has represented Islamabad United in the PSL.
Along with the PSL, Luke Rooney also has international coaching experience, having also worked in the New Zealand coaching set-up.
