Islamabad:
Pakistan’s victorious U-19 Cricket team, which dusted India in the final of the U-19 Asia Cup, has finally returned home, where the young hawks received a warm, memorable welcome.
The PIA private flight PK 212 carrying the national team back home encountered a technical delay and landed at the New Islamabad International Airport at 1:15 pm instead of the scheduled time of 12:30 pm.
Before the arrival of the team, the high-ranking officials of the governorate and the police arrived at the airport. Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz, Safe City DIG Haroon Joya, DIG Center Jameel Zafar and other officers supervised the security and administrative affairs. Strict security measures were implemented at the airport.
When the plane entered the airspace of Pakistan, the excitement among the fans increased. Special arrangements were made for a warm welcome to the young Shaheens at the airport, with spectators dancing to the beat of drums and chanting slogans for the national heroes.
When the national team arrived at the airport, flowers were showered on the players, and the citizens warmly welcomed the winning players.
The atmosphere turned into a celebration for this wonderful team achievement and joy and pride were expressed everywhere.
