Ireland have announced their 15-man squad for the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
According to details, the Irish team will once again be led by experienced opener and top scorer in the T20 format, Paul Stirling, while wicketkeeper-batsman Lokran Tucker will be the vice-captain.
12 of the 15 players in the announced squad were also part of the previous edition, while new faces include Tim Tector, Ben Kelts and Matthew Humphreys.

This will be Ireland’s ninth T20 World Cup appearance. The Irish team’s best performances came in 2009 and 2022 when they reached the second round, beating former champions West Indies and England.
Ireland coach Andrew White hoped the team would come out stronger and better this time around.
He said the 2022 World Cup was memorable, but the team failed to show its best in 2024, which will now be compensated.
Before the World Cup, the Irish team will play warm-up matches against Italy and the United Arab Emirates.
Ireland have been drawn in Group B alongside Sri Lanka, Australia, Oman and Zimbabwe.
The Irish team will begin their campaign against hosts Sri Lanka in Colombo on February 8.
