Report: Soheyl Imran. The most expensive foreign player in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Australian Cameron Green, has been banned from bowling.

Cameron Green is the third most expensive overseas player overall in the IPL, Cameron Green did not bat for KKR in the match against Mumbai Indians.

Remember KKR were beaten by Mumbai Indians by 6 wickets in a high scoring match and everyone noticed the absence of Cameron Green from the bowling.

Asked by Cameron Green, KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane said, “Ask Cricket Australia.”

Questions are rife in the Indian media about the most expensive cricketer to bowl, but Cricket Australia has banned Cameron Green from bowling in the IPL.

It may be noted that Australian all-rounder Cameron Green was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for INR 25.20 crore.

A Cricket Australia spokesman says Cameron Green has been briefly sidelined as a precaution with a lower back injury.

According to a Cricket Australia spokesperson, KKR has been officially informed about this, Cameron Green is taking the bowling load in India and is likely to return to bowling in 10 to 12 days.
