Report: Feyzan Lakhani. Indian journalist Sharda Agra criticized the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the International Cricket Council (ICC) for Bangladesh’s withdrawal from the ICCT World Twenty20 and Pakistan’s intention to boycott the match against India.

Sharda Agra says International Cricket Council office has become BCCI’s Dubai office, so now ICC is doing what BCCI wants and the same has been seen in the governing body.

The Indian journalist said that the current issue of the World Cup has been handled in a very hypocritical manner and the reputation of the ICC has been greatly affected in the current situation.

He said that this whole issue happened when a Bangladeshi player was expelled from the IPL and Pakistan’s involvement in the matter could be a response to India’s past behaviour.

Sharda Agra says that the removal of Mustafizur Rehman from the IPL was a political decision and the BCCI is committed to the Indian authorities.

He questioned who allowed the Indian team to shake hands with the Pakistani players.

The Indian journalist said that if Pakistan withdraws from the World Cup, the ICC will suffer a lot.

The Indian journalist stressed his point and said that the reason for the current World Cup crisis is India’s influence on the ICC and other boards. When Bangladesh had a problem with India going, the ICC recalled the rules of the tournament.

He said the reason for the current situation is India’s financial strength in international cricket. Jay Shah appointed an Indian as CCO after becoming the ICC president. If he had been replaced by a CEO from another country, he would have handled the situation differently.

Sharda Agra said that instead of being an opportunity for a shared culture, cricket has become a center of political warfare in which India responds to its neighbors through cricket.

Continuing his speech, the Indian journalist said that the ICC is no longer a serious sports organization and if there was a serious sports organization instead of the ICC, he would have understood that this issue was handled incorrectly.

Sharda Agra expressed her views that from this situation it seems that this activity is not being organized as a sports activity, here the ICC has removed the representative of the crown team from the tournament.

He emphasized on his point and said that both the England and Australia boards have become BCCI’s facilitators, if there was another game, these organizations would have been seriously engaged, if Bangladesh’s request was accepted, BCCI’s ego would have been damaged.
