Sri Lankan MP Sajith Brera also expressed his views about the India-ICC connection and said that India is taking an unfair approach and imposing unpredictable conditions.

He gave the example of the 1996 Cricket World Cup and said that then Australia and West Indies refused to come to Sri Lanka.
Sujit Brera also said that in 1996 the Pakistan team came to Sri Lanka and played a match, the people of Pakistan supported the Sri Lankan team in the final match of the World Cup.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka Cricket has requested the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to consider boycotting the match against India.
According to Sri Lankan media, Sri Lanka has written a letter to the Pakistan Cricket Board stating that the announcement of Pakistan’s boycott has affected Sri Lanka’s tourism sector.
Apart from this, sources say that other cricket boards have also requested not to boycott Pakistan and reconsider the decision.
