Despite India’s defeat on every front at the world level, it has not given up on hateful politics even in the field of sports.

According to Indian media reports, the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has banned Bangladeshi players from participating in the IPL at the request of the Hindutva extremist party Shiv Sena.

BCCI has ordered Bollywood actor Shahrukh Kolkata Knight Riders to drop Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman from the team, according to media reports.

BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed that the board has issued an official instruction to Kolkata Knight Riders in this regard.

Recall that Kolkata Knight Riders bought Mustafizur Rehman for INR 9.2 million in the IPL auction held last December.

It was the highest amount paid by a Bangladeshi player in the history of IPL.

However, the inclusion of Bangladeshi players in the IPL has been disputed by Hindu extremists.
