Report: Soheyl Imran. Former Australian cricketer Damien Martin has been discharged from hospital.
Damien Martin spent two weeks in hospital in Brisbane, having been in a critical condition with meningitis on Christmas Day.
Damien Martin was in a coma and was being treated in the ICU.
Damien Martin’s close friend of former cricketer Adam Gilchrist has said about Damien Martin’s health that he is out of hospital but has a long road to recovery.
Adam Gilchrist said when Damien Martin returned home, the family thanked the medical staff and those who attended.
Remember that Damien Martin was also part of the Australian team that won the 2003 ODI World Cup. In the final against India, he scored an unbeaten 88 runs and formed a partnership of 234 runs with captain Ricky Ponting.
