Report: Soheyl Imran. Former Australia captain Michael Clarke and Aaron Finch were stunned when fast bowler Haris Rauf was not selected in Pakistan’s squad for the ICCT Twenty20 World Cup.

In a programme, Clarke and Finch were asked why Haris Rauf was not included in the team despite his excellent performance in the BBL, to which Aaron Finch said that he was very surprised that Haris Rauf was not included in the team.

Aaron Finch expressed his views that Haris Rauf brings the X-factor to the team but sometimes Haris Rauf is a bit expensive.

“The most important thing is that you have a real bowler who can take shots in all three phases of the game and for me taking wickets is the most important thing in T20 cricket, especially on healthy pitches,” he said.

On the other hand, Michael Clarke said that I was also surprised by the non-selection of Haris Rauf, but it is a fact that playing in Australia is different from playing in Sri Lanka and India.

Michael Clarke continued to say that the team should be made according to the conditions where you play and the player should be selected according to his role in the team.

He said that Haris Rauf’s role in BBL is not his here and I think the form of the player is also very important.

Michael Clarke says that when you pick a team for the World Cup, you try to get the players into the tournament with good cricket and good form.

It is to be noted that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the 15-member squad for the ICCT World Twenty20 in which fast bowler Haris Rauf has not been included.

According to reports, national team coach Mike Hessen has not been in favor of Haris’ participation since the Asian Cup final.
