Report: Soheyl Imran. The world football organization FIFA mandated the representation of women in the coaching staff of women’s teams and took an important step in women’s football.

According to FIFA’s announcement, it is now necessary to have at least 2 women in the coaching staff of the participating team in every women’s tournament, one of them being the head or assistant coach and the other woman being in the medical staff.

The new law was announced at the last meeting of the FIFA Council, which also discussed long-term plans to increase the representation of women in football. According to the decision, it is mandatory to have at least 2 women staff on the bench in every match.

It is worth remembering that this new law was determined in the meeting of the FIFA Council and in this meeting the long-term plan related to the representation of women was discussed.

This new law will be applied in this year’s Under-17 and Under-20 Women’s World Cup and Women’s Champions Cup, and according to the new law, at least 2 women on the seats of each team is mandatory in every match.

Note that these rules will apply to junior and senior tournaments involving both club and national teams.

In this regard, Jill Ellis, FIFA’s head of football, says that there are not many women in women’s coaching and they are working on increasing the number.

Jill Ellis also says the new rules, along with the development program, are an important investment in current and future female coaches.
