Karachi:
Olympic record holder gold medalist Ershad Nadeem won the javelin throw competition of the 35th National Games and won the gold medal.
Arshad Nadeem, representative of Pakistan WAPDA, threw 81.81 meters and clearly won in front of the participants.
Arshad Nadeem’s close rival and Islamic Solidarity Games silver medalist Yasir Sultan finished second with a throw of 70.77m, Yasir Sultan is also a member of Pakistan’s WAPDA.
Mohammad Abrar of Pakistan Army won the bronze medal with a javelin throw of 68.67 meters in the third position.
Olympic athlete Arşed Nadîm successfully defended his title by winning the gold medal. In the 34th National Games held last year in Quetta, Arshad Nadeem became the first with a javelin throw of 78.01 meters.
Ershad Nadim has already entered the next Olympics in Los Angeles 2028, 16 athletes participated in the first round of javelin throwing, of which 8 athletes went to the second round.
Ershad Nadim threw 78.4 meters in the first throw, 77.77 meters in the second throw, and 81.81 meters in the third throw.
