England white-ball captain Harry Brooke has been fined nearly £30,000 by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for an altercation with a security guard outside a nightclub in New Zealand ahead of the Ashes series.
According to the cricket website, the incident happened a day before the third ODI in Wellington on October 31, when Brock was stopped from entering a nightclub on suspicion of drunkenness, where a brawl broke out.
Harry Brock himself reported the incident to Team Security. An ECB spokesman said the incident was dealt with under the institution’s disciplinary rules and the player admitted his mistake and was suspended as captain of the white ball.
In this regard, Harry Brook said in a statement that I am sorry for my behavior, my behavior was wrong and it embarrassed me and the England team, I will focus on my behavior in the future.
