Despite a ban by the National Squash Federation, two Pakistani players who participated in the Scottish Open Junior Squash Championship reached the finals.

According to reports, top seed Muhammad Sohail Ednan easily defeated Qatar’s Umar Faragh 0-3 in the semi-finals of the under-15 boys’ championship event in Edinburgh, Scotland.

After winning 3-11 against his opponent in the first game, Muhammad Soheyl Ednan won the second game 4-11 and then won the third game 4-11.

He will face China’s Yuan Zi Liu in the final on Tuesday.

Earlier, Mustafa Khan defeated his compatriot Muhammad Bin Atif in the quarter-finals, while Pakistan’s second seed Muhammad Mustafa Khan defeated Malaysia’s Ahmad Nezarl 0-3 in the semi-finals.

Mustafa Khan won the first game 4-11, the second 6-11 and the third 5-11 against his opponent. In the final, he will face second seed Nicholas Min Su Cho of Hong Kong, China.

It should be noted that despite the withdrawal from the Pakistan Squash Federation, more than a dozen national players are participating in the Scottish Junior Open Squash Championship.

The Pakistan Squash Federation has decided to withdraw from the Junior Open, Scotland Junior and British Junior Open squash championships due to age concerns.

Before now, several players had participated in the US Open Youth Squash Championship against the federation’s order.
