Commentary panel announcement for T20 National Cup 2026, tournament starts today

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the commentary panel for the T20 National Cup 2026. This ten-team tournament will be played from March 7 to March 18.

Former national captain Salman Butt is on the commentary panel and former national cricketer Ayman Anwar will also be part of the commentary team. Other commentators are Ali Yunis, Shah Faisal, Raja Asad and Imranullah.

The 12-day tournament will begin today at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar, where ten regional teams will compete for the title. Defending champions Lahore Blues have been placed in Group B along with Abbottabad, Karachi Blues, Multan and Sialkot.

The opening day of the tournament will consist of two Group A matches. In the first match, Lahore Whites and Peshawar teams will be played at 16:15 in the afternoon and the second between Faisalbad and Karachi Whites at 21:15. Bahawalpur is the fifth team in Group A.

On the other hand, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also announced the prize money of the T20 National Cup 2026. A total of 85 thousand rupees was awarded in the tournament.

According to the announcement, the winning team of the tournament will be paid 50,000 dollars and the second team will be paid 25,000 dollars.

Players will also be awarded for their individual performance. The best batsman, best bowler, best fielder and player of the tournament will be awarded one lakh rupees each.

Similarly, for the best player of each match (player of the match), 25,000 rupees will be awarded, and for the best player of the final match, 50,000 dollars will be awarded.

According to the PCB, the purpose of the prize money is to motivate the players and make the competition more attractive in domestic cricket.
