The head coach of the Pakistan Cricket team, Mike Hesson, has expressed full confidence in the team consisting of new players for the one-day series against Bangladesh and said that the new players have earned a chance in the national team by showing good performance in Pakistan Cricket and domestic cricket.
Speaking ahead of the team’s first training session in Dhaka, Hesson said that the team consists of experienced and new players and the team is ready to face the challenge in the conditions of Bangladesh.
“We have some new faces who have been successful in the Shaheens so they deserve a chance at the next stage. The real challenge in Bangladesh is to adapt quickly to the place and the conditions,” he said.
The head coach said that Pakistan’s last two ODI series have been very good in which the team got a big win and the top order showed outstanding performance. It will be a big test for some of the new players in the new lineup to show similar performance.
He said that there are few opportunities in the cricket calendar to give opportunities to young players, so this series has tested many players who have been waiting for an opportunity for a long time.
Hasan referred to the young players and said that Sahibzada Farhan has played well in the T20 World Cup and Domestic Cricket, Shamail Hussain has become the top scorer in First Class Cricket and has also performed well in List A.
It is worth mentioning that the first match of the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be played tomorrow and the second and third matches will be played on March 13 and 15 and these three matches will be played at the Bangla Lion Stadium in Dhaka.
The group of 15 people for the tour of Bangladesh, headed by Shaheen Afridi, consists of Abdul Samad, Ebrar Ahmed, Fahim Ashraf, Faisal Akram, Haris Rauf, Hussain Talat and Muaz Sadaqat.
Apart from this, Muhammad Rizwan, Muhammad Wasim Jr., Muhammad Khazi Khori, Saad Masood, Sahibzada Farhan, Salman Ali Akha and Shamail Hissen are also included in this group.
